Tennis Court Painting

Definition: It is a rapid alkyd-based single component paint resistant to various atmospheric conditions with chlorine rubber resin additive. Gemsa Tennis Court Paint, which is used for marking purposes in places such as tennis courts, is a product with high wear resistance, fast drying and durability properties. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it forms a permanent film on the surfaces for a long time and does not crack and grip. It is resistant to rain, humidity, sun rays and maintains its elasticity.

Area of Application: Gemsa Tennis Court Paint is used to mark or paint asphalt and concrete floors of sports areas such as tennis courts, basketball court, etc.

Thinning Ratio: It is thinned with10-15% cellulosic thinner by weight depending on the surface condition and the form of the drill.

Application Tools: Brush, Roller or Pistole

Application Thinner: Gemsa rapid thinner, toluene, xylol, etc. solvents (that cannot get thinned with white sprite and gas)

Method of Application: Surface should be free from dust and dirt. The thinning rate varies depending on the application tool, it is thinned by 5-10% in roller and brush applications and 20-25% in pistole applications and applied in two layers, it should be waited for half an hour between layers. The paint should be thoroughly stirred before use. The ambient temperature must be between 5-35°C during application. Applied surfaces should be protected from physical and chemical factors for 24 hours. The paint must never be discharged into the sewerage and water channels.

Drying Time:

First drying: 1-2 hours     Anti-dust drying : 8-10 Hours

Second coat application : 24 hours   Full hard drying: 7 days

The drying time may vary depending on the temperature and air circulation of the application medium and the film thickness coefficient.

Paintable Area:

4.5-5 m2 / kg (30-microns dry film thickness)

7 m2 / lt (30-micron dry film thickness)

Storage Type and Duration: 1 year in a cool and dry environment not receiving direct sunlight, sealed packaging (+5°C to +30°C)
