Gemsa Rapid Anti-rust (283)

Definition: It is a rapid alkyd based, serial dried, high rust resistance, high thickness primer paint due to its good adhesion to metal surfaces and filling the pores on the surface.

Area of Application: Gemsa Rapid Anti-rust is a matte primer with high corrosion resistance and is used in all areas requiring rapid drying and corrosion protection; for the protection of metal surfaces; in industrial facilities, ports, bridges etc. in the marine atmosphere, storage facilities.

Application Tools: Pistole, Roller, Brush & Dip

Application Thinner: Solvents such as Gemsa rapid thinner, toluene, xylol, etc.

Method of Application: If the application is to be made directly to the metal surface, all kinds of oil, dirt and rust on the surface (sanded, scraped, burned or washed with solvent) should be cleaned. Gemsa Rapid Anti-rust, which is brought to the appropriate viscosity, is applied crosswise to the cleaned surface in two layers.

Notes: It should never be applied to synthetic painted and primed surfaces and dirty surfaces.

Drying Time:

Surface Drying:  5-10 minutes     Sanding Drying: 2-3 Hours

Full Drying:  10 hour – Hard Drying: 72 hours

Paintable Area:

9-10 m2 / kg (45 –microns dry film thickness)

14-15 m2 / lt (45-micron dry film thickness)

Storage Type and Duration: 1 year in a cool and dry environment not receiving direct sunlight, sealed packaging (+5°C to +30°C)
